BONTOC- Red Cross- Mountain Province Chapter are encouraging people in the province to be members of the organization as this is open to ages 6- 65 years old.
According to Veronica T. Tactay, Officer in Charge of Red Cross-MP Chapter, all members will have a chance to enjoy their membership in times of untoward accidents and medical needs depending on the type of membership that they have availed
Tactay explained that even students may apply as members of Red Cross by paying P50.00 annually for the Classic membership. Others may avail of the Bronze by paying P120.00, Silver – P300.00, Gold- P500.00, Platinum- P1, 000.00, Senior – P300.00 and Senior Plus- P350.00.
She added that this is renewable every year so members must pay their membership before its expiration for continuous membership to Red Cross.
Tactay added that the higher the type of membership the members availed of, the higher the amount of benefits they may receive.
This include Accidental Death, Disablement and Dismemberment; Unprovoked Murder and Assault; Accidental Medical Reimbursement; Accidental Burial Assistance and Daily Hospital Allowance maximum of 60 days.
Tactay added that this is also a way of helping those in need as the membership the members pay annually when not availed by them is being used by other members who need it in times of accidents and medical needs.
With this, Tactay urge those interested applicants who wish to be a member of Red Cross to visit their office as they also offer free blood typing to interested members.
