Well-known for singing Uggayam during occasions/activities, this songbird of the province has actually been serving the people of MP for almost two decades. He started working as a casual engineering assistant at the Municipal Local Government Unit of Sagada for three years and then decided to enter politics. He ran and was elected as councilor in Sagada in 1998. The people's trust and confidence in him gave him the opportunity to serve the municipality of Sagada for two consecutive terms as councilor. Armed with his passion for public service, he vied for a higher office; thus, in 2004-2007, he also served as Vice Mayor in the same municipality. After nine years of public service, he decided to rest from politics and focused on other worthwhile endeavors. However, he again returned to politics by running as Board Member for District II in 2013. Being a tested public servant, the people in the western part of the province elected him as number one board member then. Again, in the May 2016 elections, he topped the Sangguniang Panlalawigan race in District II. This led him to his current position as Acting-Vice Governor of the province.
