Paracelis – Enhanced delivery of hospital services is expected with the opening and blessing of the new one-storey Function Room Building of the Paracelis District Hospital (PaDH) in the eastern-most town of Mountain Province last June 7, 2019.
Gov. Bonifacio C. Lacwasan, Jr., together with members of the Sangguniang Panlalawigan and PaDH Chief of Hospital Dr. Presentacion Matib, led the inauguration of the building and was witnessed by the hospital personnel and provincial officials and staff.
In his message, Gov. Lacwasan expressed his administration’s plan on prioritizing the health programs of the provincial government.
Also, he rallied for support from the end-users as regards the maintenance and proper utilization of the facility so it can be used for a long time.
“Although the construction of the facility took a lengthy course to complete, I hope the new Function Room Building will serve the purpose for what it was built for,” he added.
He further commended the Sangguniang Panlalawigan members Stephen Afuyog and Raul Lapon whom he acknowledged as having a ‘big role’ on the approval of the construction of the building.
PaDH Chief Nurse Isabel Balocnit, who gave a brief background of the project, disclosed that the newly constructed building was the former Out-Patient Department – Complex site before it was damaged during the 1990 earthquake; hence, the need to construct a new building.
In her acceptance speech, PaDH Chief of Hospital Presentacion Matib thanked the entire officialdom of the Provincial Local Government Unit of Mountain Province for the construction and completion of the new building.
“By the blessings of the Almighty, and by the powers invested in me as Chief of Hospital of this institution, we gladly accept this newly constructed and completed building of the PaDH. We commit to use this building as planned, for the service of the Paracelis people, and for the Glory of God”, she remarked. Meanwhile, in their respective special messages, the members of the Sangguniang Panlalawigan: Stephen Afuyog, Raul Lapon, Alexandre Claver, Salvador Dalang and incoming Board Member Joshua Fronda who attended the inaugural rites have also expressed and committed their full support to the health programs of the provincial government.
