Improvement of Tadian-Nacawang FMR Project Approved

The Philippine Rural Development Project’s Regional Project Advisory Board (RPAB) unanimously approved the i-Build sub-project proposal entitled, “Improvement of Nacawang-Tadian Farm-to-Market-Road (FMR)” of the Provincial Local Government Unit of Mountain Province during said board’s meeting held the Conference Hall, Department of Agriculture Regional Field Office – CAR (DA RFO-CAR) this morning.

Comprising the RPAB were regional directors of various line agencies chaired by Dr. Cameron P. Odsey, the officer-in-charge, Office of the Regional Executive Director, DA RFO-CAR.

The project proposal was presented by Ms. Concepcion P. Wangdali, Mountain Province’s Provincial Government Assistant Department Head, Provincial Planning and Development Office. Queries which arose from the presentation were jointly answered by the members of the PLGU’s Provincial Project Monitoring and Implementation Unit (PPMIU).

Per proposal, the PhP 137.6M-worth FMR will cause the improvement of 5.79-kilometer road stretch which shall include Portland Cement Concrete Pavement, slope protection works and needed signages.

The World Bank will be funding 80% of the project cost while the Department of Agriculture and the Provincial Government will be providing 10% each as their counterpart for the said project.

In attendance to the project presentation were the PLGU’s PPMIU headed by Gov. Bonifacio C. Lacwasan, Jr. as chairman and his vice chair, Provincial Planning and Development Coordinator Lily Rose T. Kollin. Also, I-Build Unit Head Engineer Edward B. Likigan and members of the PPMIU Support Unit were also present.
